Senate receives report on EFCC/DSS officers’ clash


The Senate on Wednesday got the report of its Ad hoc Committee Investigating the conflict between officers of EFCC, NIA and DSS on Nov. 21, 2017.

Executive of the advisory group, Sen. Francis Alimikhena, laid the report under the steady gaze of the legislators amid whole.

Sen. Fatima Rasaki approved the movement for the answer to be laid.

The Senate had in November. 2017, set up the board of trustees to explore the confrontation between authorities of the Department of State Services ( DSS ) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ) in Abuja.

The go head to head was said to have originated from EFCC's endeavored capture of previous chiefs general of DSS, Ita Ekpeyong and NIA, Ayodele Oke.

"The EFCC went to the habitation of the previous DG of DSS, Mr Ita Ekpeyong, to impact his capture and the men of the DSS halted the endeavor."

Alimikhena, in any case, told our journalist that the report had been laid and was anticipating the day for the thought of the report before he could pass any remark.
