'Police have no privilege to pronounce any citizen wanted' – Ekim




A Former Vice Chairman of the FCT Chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association, Victor Ekim, has said the police have no privilege to announce any resident needed.

He said this when he showed up as a visitor on Channels Television's Politics Today, Wednesday following the choice of the Police to pronounce the congressperson speaking to Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye and seven others, needed.

Ekim said what the police should have done was to send a letter to the Senate President, asking for that he delivers Senator Melaye or go to court.

"I would state that adds up to trivializing the issue. Dino Melaye is a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and I think they have these nickname 'recognized' appended to their names.

"He draws compensation from the citizens' assets, so he can be come to through the Senate President. The best possible approach is to send a letter to the Senate President, asking for that he deliver Dino Melaye to the police specialist for addressing.

"A moment approach is to give a court the affirmation against Dino Melaye and the proof the police has assembled against him.
