The Man Called Wilson Emaikwu
BACKGROUND
Born in late 1980s’ to the family of Augustine and Aladi Emaikwu
in Otukpo town, he originates from Adankali-Akpa in Otobi ward, Otukpo Local
Government Area, Benue South Senetorial district( Zone C). Adakole is the fifth
child and the first son in a family of ten. He started his primary education at
St. Francis Staff Nursery and Primary School, later proceeded to Holy Child
Model Nursery and Primary School Otukpo, to obtained his First School Leaving
Certificate in the year 2000, which he graduated as the assistant head boy.
After his primary education, he proceeded to SS Simon and Jude Junior Seminary
Kuje, Abuja but became home sick and was transferred to the prestigious college
St. Francis Otukpo for his junior secondary education. Then he proceeded to Federal
Government College Otobi for his senior secondary education, and graduated in
2006. After then, he managed the family business for a couple of years, before
seeking admission to the prestigious Benue State University in Makurdi, where
he obtained B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science.
During university days, he was an active student Unionist especially in
the National Association of Idoma Student, (NAIS), Association of Mathematics
and Computer Science Student, (AMACOSS). Within NAIS, he served in the capacity
of National Senate President. After graduation, he spent the mandatory one year
National Service at Government High School Boriya in Baruten Local government
of Kwara State, Nigeria. Since learning has no limit, he decided to obtain a
Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the National Teachers Institute, Ilorin
Centre. He also mentored under Dr. Joseph Odedina at Taurus communications Ltd
as one of the company's Technicians for
a year and worked briefly as consultant with the Catholic Relief Services on
the Global Fund on Malaria Campaign in Kwara State. He is from a Traditional
Catholic Home. Adakole is passionate about politics in Nigeria. He is always
ready to air his opinion on the stage of politics and relevant fields.
Hobbies
Adakole is a lover of sports and a massive football fan.
- He reads and collects information on international and local politics.
- He is an active blogger on the social media and he shares information on contemporary issues
- He takes interest on Computer related issues and the proper use of information dissemination on the social media
- He has keen interest in politics
- He is interested in politics for the following reasons:
- His people are grossly underrepresented in the body of Nigerian politics
- He believes that you cannot change the political system if you are not actively involved in the political arena and the main stream of Nigerian politics
- He believes in youth activeness in the political drive of the nation and the world at large
- He believes in the dissemination of developmental strides from the highest level, to the grass root for the masses to understand their role in national development
- He believes in youth empowerment for the development of the national economy through grass root development to self-sufficiency within the agricultural and industrial system of Nigeria
Mission Statement
To deliver political dividends, societal safety to the people,
self sustainability through better knowledge and know-how of technology, the
use of alternative energy and power
source (solar to electricity ), reliable
and qualitative cost effective, human and social services based on existing
political structures and others that may arise in the cause of my political
journey.
Vision Statement
To be an outstanding, effective and a well institutionalized
politician among the people. Thereby being a competent power broker to hold in
estate the office for the people, by establishing, facilitating and enhancing
the welfare of the people within our area of jurisdiction for a better
future for Benue and a greater Nigeria.
