Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State tumbled off while landing from his official auto last Friday and harmed his left foot, an announcement from the Kogi State Government House, Lokoja, said on Tuesday.
The announcement marked by Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Director– General, Media and Publicity to the senator, said that the occurrence occurred at the old market zone in Lokoja, when the representative was holding up to get the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
The Speaker went to Lokoja for the internment of Umar Buba Jibril, an individual from the House of Representative, who passed on in Abuja on that Friday.
"The damage kept the representative from going to the internment of Mr Jibril. He was spoken to by his delegate, Simon Achuba," the announcement said.
It expelled claims that Mr Bello was hospitalized and crippled, expressing that the representative was quickly treated by his specialists, who dressed the leg and released him.
The announcement said thanks to the senator's supporters for their worry over his well being, saying he (Bello) was doing admirably and would continue work after the Easter occasions.
