Troops slaughter 4 Boko Haram guerillas, kill 4 suicide aircraft

Brig.- Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Operation Lafiya Dole, put forth the divulgence in an announcement in Maiduguri.

Nwachukwu expressed that the radicals were slaughtered by troops in a snare while attempting to evade progressing freedom practice under "Activity Deep Punch II" on March 30.

He said the troops recouped a Toyota Land Cruiser, one AK 47 Rifle , 15 Rounds of 7.62 mm ammo, one magazine and 47 Jerry jars of petroleum from the extremists. He included that "the extremists were steered out of the Sambisa Forest by troops under Operation Deep Punch II, scrounging for nourishment and coordinations when they met their Waterloo."

Nwachukwu uncovered that brave troops conveyed at a checkpoint in Muna Garage in the edges of Maiduguri likewise killed four suicide planes on Friday.

He clarified that the aircraft, containing a male and three females were murdered while endeavoring to invade Maiduguri city. He noticed that "the extremists, endeavoring to penetrate Maiduguri city through Muna Zawiya region at around 9.30 p.m., were spotted by cautiousness troops who discharged shots, hitting one of them, in this way activating synchronous blasts which executed every one of them. "Unfortunately, 18 people were harmed in the occurrence and have been cleared for medicinal consideration."

As indicated by him, troops and individuals from the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were directing cordon and look activity in the zone for some other suicide plane sneaking around.
